Their brief centred on a warm and welcoming home, with a particular focus on a beautifully detailed Arts & Crafts kitchen that would sit at the heart of daily life. This informed a design approach rooted in natural materials, careful craftsmanship and a sense of relaxed, modern country living.

Positioned at the centre of the home, the kitchen is flooded with natural light throughout the day. Its generous proportions, high ceilings and connection to the garden made it the ideal setting for a bespoke kitchen design tailored to a family who loves to cook together. Oak cabinetry, selected for its warmth and timeless texture, is paired with solid granite worktops to create a practical yet elegant palette that suits the original character of the house. A large, bi-fold larder keeps everyday ingredients organised and accessible, helping the space function effortlessly.

A central Aga, framed by an oak canopy, acts as a focal point and brings balance to this open-plan kitchen-living space. The island, crafted from the same oak, includes thoughtful details such as integrated vegetable bins, recycling compartments and well-planned drawers—an approach that blends handcrafted cabinetry with the practical demands of a busy family kitchen.
