Froyle Tiles is a specialist tile shop based in the picturesque village of Hambledon, Surrey. Owned by Richard Miller, they produce handmade tiles for designers, architects, high-end retail establishments and private clients across Surrrey and the UK.
Located just a couple of miles away from our Figura Showroom in Chiddingfold, we often suggest that clients pay them a visit to find something very special and unique for their kitchen or bathroom project.
As specialists, their flexible approach and wide ranging abilities allow them to produce bespoke tiles for large commercial projects, small scale domestic and restoration commissions in and around Surrey. They have the creative skill to realise your vision in ceramic form, however unique those ideas may be.
Founded in 1982, they maintain an outstanding reputation with customers in and around Surrey who understand the value and unique beauty of handmade tiles. They lovingly prepare each tile by hand.
They work on commissions from Architects for luxury projects in London and the rest of the UK, including the following project for Saville Row.
We also work with various independent retailers. As a small independent business and a member of the FSB (National Federation of Self Employed & Small Businesses Limited), they are passionate about supporting the local economy in Surrey. For this reason, they source all materials and equipment as close as possible to the local area.
Because they are hand-made, each tile is unique. Whether you need plain clay tiles, or vibrant colourful designs for your kitchen or bathroom, Froyle Tiles will be able to make something for you.
About Richard Miller
After completing an MA in Ceramics in 2003, Richard began making domestic ware as well as teaching the art of ceramics in and around Surrey. His passion for traditional methods stems from a love of making. In addition to Froyle Tiles, Richard produces his own ceramic ware.
Richard’s enthusiasm for his subject is infectious and has made him a popular teacher. As well as a passion for pots and all things ceramic, away from the workshop Richard can often be found mountain biking in the Surrey Hills with his beloved pottery dog Dotty.
